Dorothy Bray, 80, of 110 W. Fairmont Ave., New Castle, passed away the morning of February 8, 2017 in the Grove at New Wilmington.
Dorothy was born September 15, 1936 in New Castle. She was the daughter of Joseph and Joan Dec Presnar. Dorothy was Roman Catholic and attended St. Camillus de Lellis Parish. She was a graduate of Union High School, class of 1954.
Mrs. Bray retired after many years of service as a Distribution Clerk at the United States Post Office. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt. Dorothy was a life-long member of St. Camillus Lady’s guild.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Kathy J. Oprean of New Castle; four grandchildren, Eric, Amber, Alaina, and Ean Oprean; her loving niece, Melissa (David) Boston of New Castle; and two great-nieces, Lauren and Lindsey Boston; and all her grandpets that brought so much joy to her life.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Richard Presnar.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 S. Mill Street New Castle.
A procession will leave the funeral home Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. for St. Camillus de Lellis Parish, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Michael R. Peck, pastor of St. Camillus de Lellis Parish will officiate. Rite of Committal and entombment will be in Castleview Mausoleum. Donations can be made in her name to the ASPCA at 350 E. Erie Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19134
My deepest sympathies for you Kathy and family,Your mother and I were good friends and I disnt know where she was,heard from her last Nov 1st and she was getting surgery on Nv 3rd left messages on her phe but no calls back.I,m so sorry I loved her so much and she was such a good friend I couldnt get your number to ask how she was or nothing,Feel s bad I ddint get to say goodbye.May she be at Peace and in no pain.She is with the Lord now.
So sorry for your loss! Your mother was a good friend to my mother and me for many years. She will be greatly missed! Now she will be laughing once again with my mom. Your mother will always be in my memories.
