Helen Walczak Michalojko Helen Walczak Michalojko, 95, formerly of 22 W Clen Moore Blvd passed away the morning of January 20, 2017 at Clen-Moore Place.

Helen was born January 5, 1922 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late John and Judwiga Kudla Walczak. Helen was married to the late Walter Michalojko. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2012. They were married for 66 years. Mrs. Michalojko was of the Roman Catholic faith and attended St. Vincent De Paul Parish. She was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1940.

Mrs. Michalojko will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother by her family. Helen retired after many years as a nurse assistant at the Haven Convalescent Home. In addition she was proud of her work at the Shenango Pottery during WWII. She was a life member of the Saints Philip and James altar society. Helen enjoyed baking, especially cookies, sewing, and was an avid Steelers supporter. She was a huge Ben Roethlisburger fan.

Helen is survived by four daughters, Judith (John) Michalojko-Feldmeier of Bulverde, Tx, Kathy (Ernie) Erickson of Locust, NC, Terry (Bob) Michalojko- Salera of Bethel Park, Margie (Felix) Zyra of Albemarle, NC.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband Walter, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Michalojko; brother, Edward Walczak; three great grandchildren, Benjamin and Zachary Self, and Warren Shiver.

Visitation will be on Friday January 27, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 S. Mill Street, New Castle.

A procession will leave the funeral home Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. for St. Vincent De Paul Parish, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Rev. William Siple, Parochial Vicar of St. Vincent De Paul Parish will officiate. Rite of Committal and interment will take place at SS Philip and James Cemetery.
